ICALMA, Fundación de Cuidados Integrales, is a non-profit organization in Argentina made up of physicians devoted in the specialties of liver diseases and palliative care. With the aim to decentralize care from specialists in Buenos Aires to primary care doctors who serve the majority of patients in areas outside of Buenos Aries, liver specialists in ICALMA developed a mentorship platform combining teleconsultation, web-based case discussion and ECHO training to improve capacities of non-specialists.

Chinese Foundation for Hepatitis Prevention and Control (CFHPC) is a public charity organization in Beijing dedicated to reducing incidence and disease burden of hepatitis in China. CFHPC together with the country’s leading specialists designed and implemented medical training programs to improve local capacity at county and municipal levels. These programs consisted of course work and practical training in provincial hospitals in western China.

The Asian Liver Center (Stanford Medicine) is assisting health authorities in Vietnam to improve control and prevention of chronic hepatitis B by providing training in provinces to fill knowledge gap among healthcare workers. The program includes community-level screening and linkage to care activities and forming a network of referral sites.
